[ Clutch motor ] [ Electronic motor ]

Clutch motors are fitted to most standard length arm sewing machines where no
pneumatic equipment or automatic functions are required. They are activated by foot pedal.
Footlifting etc. is manual by knee lever, hand lever or 2nd foot pedal depending on the
machine type.
Various speeds, voltage and HP are available, depending on machine type. We can
supply both 1 phase and 3 phase.
Electronic motors give machines more versatility of use:
Features:
 | Speed control; any speed (up to the machine maximum) can be set. Even down to the
possibilty of stitch by stitch operation |
 | Full power, even through thicker materials and over bulky seams and varying thickness' |
 | Needle positioning; the machine can stop with the needle always in the up / down
position. On a long arm machine this is particulary useful so that the operator does not
have to reach for the balance wheel to raise or lower the needle leaving
both hands free for handling the work |
 | Programmable stitch count; any number of stitches can be programmed, i.e. a square of 10
stitches on each side, the machine will stop after 10 stitches for the operator to turn
the piece. This can also be combined with other features, backtacking, thread trimming
etc. (not on all models) |
